HOW IT ALL STARTED
I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember. When I was eight, I wrote my first screenplay about a fiercely independent woman who moved to New York to become a writer and fell in love with a mysterious stranger. Looking back, I like to think I imagined Sex and the City before Candace Bushnell did.
What I didn’t know then was that I was sketching my own future.
Years later, I moved to New York and spent fifteen years writing my way into adulthood, finding my voice, and becoming the woman I’d once imagined on the page.
Words have always been my way in. Into myself. Into the world. Into connection. Writing didn’t just accompany my life. It shaped it.
That devotion to language and truth became Confessions of a Creative.
Along the way, I spent more than twenty years in consulting, helping entrepreneurs and organizations turn raw ideas into viable work. What I saw again and again wasn’t a lack of intelligence or effort. It was disconnection. Forcing launches. Chasing formulas. Building things that looked right but didn’t feel sustainable.
I made the same mistakes. Believing freedom lived on the other side of the perfect offering. The flawless workshop. The right strategy at the right time.
Burnout followed. Doubt. Endless tweaking. A quiet sense that something essential was slipping away.
Then something shifted. I stopped trying to get it right and started listening. I stayed close to the creative process long enough to notice where it wanted to lead. That changed everything.
The studios, practices, and learning spaces you’ll find here grew out of that moment. They aren’t scripts or shortcuts. They’re invitations. Ways to think clearly, create honestly, and build work that can actually feels like you.
If you’re done forcing what doesn’t fit and ready to create from truth, create without conditions, you’re in the right place.
Let’s go on an adventure.
xx
